Greetings from Mary,
Welcome to the Northeast Indiana Special Education Cooperative (NEISEC) website. We are happy you stopped by! My name is Mary Burton and I am proud to be the Executive Director of the best and largest Special Education Cooperative in the state of Indiana. We serve approximately 4,400 students in thirteen school districts in Noble, Steuben, DeKalb, and LaGrange counties in Northeast Indiana.
We pride ourselves in providing each and every one of our exceptional students with a rich environment to grow, learn, and progress towards reaching their goals. Guided by our highly professional certified teachers and staff, our students show progress on a daily basis and never cease to amaze us!
One of our highest priorities here at NEISEC is to provide our staff with high quality professional development opportunities. From on-site/off-site training to webinars, we encourage our staff to enrich their knowledge and skills in order to better meet the needs of our students.
Our support staff here at the NEISEC office is immeasurably committed to assisting our teachers, staff, and administrators. They play an invaluable part in maintaining the required documentation to meet IDOE compliance. They are the strong foundation we are able to stand on to obtain our level of excellence!
It truly takes a village in Special Education and I am proud to say our village is top notch! Thank you to our teachers, school psychologists, itinerant personnel, transportation, administrators, county directors, and school staff for your hard work and commitment to our exceptional students!
Let's have a great school year!
